Philippe Descheemaecker
Me Philippe Descheemaecker has been a lawyer for more than 35 years (admitted to the Bar in September 1988).
After studying law at the Université Libre de Bruxelles (1986), he completed a postgraduate Master’s degree in Environmental Law and Public Real Estate Law at Université Saint-Louis (2007).
This Master’s programme covers not only public real estate law (spatial planning law, urban planning, land policy instruments, public property law, etc.), but also the various aspects of environmental law (international, EU, federal and regional law, etc.), as well as its interactions with other areas of law, from which it draws and adapts certain legal mechanisms (tax law, criminal law, procedural law and civil liability).
He therefore specialised in these areas at an early stage in his career.
His practice also focuses on property law (ownership, easements and other rights in rem, residential leases and commercial leases) and construction law, which are closely connected to the areas mentioned above.
Over the past ten years, he has also developed extensive experience in immigration and foreigners’ law.
In 2026, he co-founded the law firm CAUSA.
