Céline Miécret

After obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Law from Université Saint-Louis in Brussels and a Master’s degree in Law from the Université Libre de Bruxelles, Céline Miécret furthered her studies with a specialisation in the interdisciplinary approach to children’s rights.

She has been a member of the French-speaking Brussels Bar since April 2025 and joined the law firm Lebutte & Partners in March 2025 as an associate, working alongside Muriel Gillet.

Her practice focuses primarily on family law, juvenile law and real estate law.

She devoted her final thesis to the best interests of the child, entitled “The Child First: Between the Best Interests of the Child and/or the Figure of the Child-King”, which was published in the Journal du droit des Jeunes (September 2024, No. 437). She is also the author of the report “Child Human Rights Defenders” for the Coordination des ONG pour les droits de l’enfant (CODE, December 2023).

She works with the Legal Aid Bureau.

In 2026, she joined the law firm CAUSA.
